Sam completed her MSc in Biosecurity and Conservation at the University of Auckland and has extensive in-field experience having travelled Aotearoa for two years undertaking vegetation monitoring. She also spent time controlling pest plants and rats across Auckland, and protecting Tūturiwhatu (southern NZ dotterel) on Rakiura. Sam joined the Ark in the Park team in 2020 as Programme Manager.
