Juliet spends every weekend out at their house in Te Ahuahu Road in Piha where she has learnt a great deal about the need to protect our native forest and species from invasive pests. She is the neighbourhood coordinator for Pest Free Piha and has enjoyed the opportunity to get to know people by knocking on their doors and offering them free or subsidised bait stations and traps. Juliet also volunteers at Ark in the Park helping with baiting and rat monitoring in that beautiful part of the Waitākere Ranges.
